Inglewood Nursing Home is a spacious and charming period-style building in a pleasant residential area of Eastbourne.

Comfortable rooms

The home offers accommodation for 60 residents in bright, comfortable rooms with lovely aspects, over two floors. Each is equipped with an adjustable automatic bed with a handset control for your comfort, a wardrobe, lockable bedside cabinet, chest of drawers/dressing table, cosy armchair, a nurse-call system, TV and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have ensuite or wet room facilities.

Our staff are highly trained and experienced, and our genuine passion for caring for people is very much appreciated by our residents and their relatives.

To help you feel at home from day, one we encourage you and your family to personalise your room with photos as well as favourite ornaments and small items of furniture.

All our bright, comfortable rooms have large windows and attractive views, while some on the ground floor open out onto our secure courtyard. If you have green fingers you can create your own potted garden or hang baskets filled with favourite flowers.

We understand the importance of a welcoming environment and the impact it has on our residents’ emotional wellbeing, so in addition to all the advanced facilities you would expect from a modern care facility, we are proud to have created a warm and homely feel that you will experience from the moment you walk through the door.

Care and laundry services

Each floor has its own team of nursing and care staff that are on hand 24/7, while our dedicated teams of housekeepers support them – and you – with a high-quality cleaning and laundry service.

We use a variety of specialist equipment to help us to help you move around safely, including lifting aids, and offer a choice of pressure-relieving mattresses and cushions.

Communal areas

Our spacious dining room is laid out with a choice of small tables or space for large groups to eat together, and you can gather in our light and airy lounge for activities or to socialise. This is comfortably furnished with snug armchairs, a TV and plenty of games and books, and can be arranged for you to sit in a group to chat with friends or give you quiet space if you prefer. A separate coffee lounge offers refreshments, including biscuits and cakes throughout the day, which is a perfect space for chatting with visitors or reading a book in peace!

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the home.

Accessible home

Our rooms and corridors are wheelchair accessible, and there is lift access between the floors.

Landscaped garden

Residents and relatives can relax in our quintessentially English and wheelchair-accessible garden, while the picturesque and private courtyard garden and decking area also offer plenty of seating space for everyone to enjoy a pot of tea and cake on a warm day, or just sit and soak up the sunshine in a peaceful environment. They are also favourite places to hold activities and play games in the summer, or simply to chill and soak up the sunshine.

Our residents like to look their best so our popular hair salon provides on-site hair services once a week.

Ample on-site parking is available for visitors.
