We know that being outside in the fresh air and sunshine is good for body and mind, but it is not always possible for our residents and can become a challenge. That’s why we decided to bring the gardening inside for all who wish to participate!

Residents got their hands dirty, well with gloves on of course! Once again, Roy, the gardener needed some help with sowing seeds for Autumn, and this time it was Sweet Peas. Sweet Peas are one of the most popular cottage garden flower and has a beautiful bloom and gorgeous scent.

Each resident was given their own tray with soil, towel, and seeds and could work at their own pace. Some residents just enjoyed running their fingers through the soil and putting it in the pots, while other residents were concentrating so hard, making sure the seeds have perfectly spaced apart. Sparking conversation throughout the morning amongst the residents and exchanging gardening tips between one another.

A wonderful activity that was enjoyed by all!
