Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on 10 May, some restrictions on our daily life have been eased. However, this does not yet mean that care homes can safely accept visitors. Our residents are clinically vulnerable and must continue to minimise contact with loved ones outside the home.
As our aim is to protect residents from contracting COVID-19, we cannot open our doors to visitors until we are advised by the Government that it is safe to do so. Until then we will help residents to keep in touch via phone and video calling, giving regular wellbeing updates to the families of those who cannot make or receive calls.
We have ample supplies of PPE and are confident that our protective measures will help ensure everyone’s safety. We will also continue to review the situation in line with government advice.
