In the Summer, Inglewood Nursing Home held a fantastic Summer Fete, with all the money raised going towards a local charity – Age Concern.

We raised a fantastic £500 for the charity – so a big thank you to everyone that came along and helped us raise such a brilliant amount.

Liz Maxted Centre Manager for Age Concern came along to the home and was presented with the cheque from our Deputy Manager Rani – along with all of our residents holding up the amount to celebrate!

Some of the money went towards buying blankets for those in the Community, and our Head of Activities Sara Manson was asked to go along and hand them out and she jumped at the chance. On the day it was pouring with rain but that didn’t dampen their spirits, as she got to meet some wonderful people in the Eastbourne area.

The remaining money will go towards the Eastbourne Shed fund, a fantastic project aimed at isolated men over 50 in the local area. Find out more about the fund here: www.eastbourneshed.co.uk

Great work Inglewood!
